Black & Veatch Selects U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Colonel (Retired) Jason Kirk to Join Federal Solutions Group

Black & Veatch, a global leader in critical infrastructure solutions, today announced the addition of Jason Kirk to serve as Vice President, Federal Solutions Director and Resilience Programs Liaison.

With over four years in the private-sector architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry and more than 25 years serving in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Kirk brings deep experience in leading multi-billion dollar domestic and international infrastructure, military construction, water resources and environmental programs.

“Jason’s federal and municipal water resources market knowledge will enable Black & Veatch to provide greater value to our clients,” said Mike Orth, President of Governments & Environment at Black & Veatch. “His experience addressing challenges unique to government services will help us in our mission to develop, build and protect critical and integrated energy, water and communications infrastructure to improve global communities.”

Prior to joining Black & Veatch, Kirk spent four years in private-sector business development and operational market leadership roles, developing and implementing business development strategies and serving clients first in the aviation and aerospace market and later in the municipal “One Water” utilities market.

“Black & Veatch has a longstanding history of partnering with all levels of government to drive towards a more sustainable future,” said Kirk. “Together, our team will continue to deliver highly customized solutions that comply with the unique financial and regulatory project requirements regardless of national or international location.”
