Bruce Duff named new Managing Director of Design-Build for water business
Black & Veatch, a leading provider of design-build project delivery services for the water industry, today announced that Bruce Duff has been named Managing Director of Design-Build within its water business. Duff will be based in the Company’s Toronto metro area office.

Under the design-build model, an engineering and construction firm is hired by a project owner to oversee all aspects of the project, giving the owner a single point of contact throughout the construction process. In this new role at Black & Veatch, Duff will lead the global design-build platform for the delivery of water facilities and related infrastructure. He will also manage risk across the water business’ design-build portfolio.
Duff has more than 35 years of experience managing water and wastewater projects and has played key roles in construction, safety management, strategic planning, business process improvements and staff development for projects globally. Over the past 20 years, he has overseen design-build projects in the United States in water, wastewater and adjacent markets.
Duff spent the early portion of his career as a project manager, resident engineer and mechanical engineer on a number of projects throughout North Africa, the Middle East, Singapore, the Caribbean and Canada.

- Duff is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Project Management Institute, and is licensed to practice engineering in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
