Affiliation with clean technology alliance supports transition to zero emission transportation
Black & Veatch, an engineering and construction company with deep experience in deploying electric vehicle and sustainable transportation infrastructure, announced today it has joined CALSTART, a respected national non-profit alliance devoted to clean transportation technology.
Black & Veatch’s membership in CALSTART expands the company’s commitment to planning, scaling and deploying alternative fuels ecosystems. Through its experience in electric vehicle charging and hydrogen fueling networks, fleet electrification, sensor networks and vehicle-grid integration, Black & Veatch’s Smart Integrated Infrastructure business supports the transportation sector’s progression to zero emission technologies. The company’s SII business brings together two key elements – intelligent infrastructure that has the ability to communicate and data analytics to provide deep insights into operations that allow for actionable decisions.
“Combining our domain expertise across energy supply, telecommunications and data analytics and infrastructure deployment aligns well with CALSTART’s focus on market development in key areas such as medium- and heavy-duty fleet electrification and workplace charging.”
Paul Stith, Solution Lead for Black & Veatch’s SII business
“We will benefit greatly from CALSTART’s leadership, knowledge base and industry collaboration to accelerate the sustainability objectives for governments, corporations and communities.”
“CALSTART is very pleased to welcome a global engineering company with Black & Veatch’s capabilities to its membership,” said John Boesel, President, and CEO of CALSTART. “The clean transportation technology industry is starting to really take off, and more of our members and partners will now be in a position to leverage B&V’s skills and resources.”
