World leader in critical human infrastructure opens Dublin and Cork offices

New offices and team will support Ireland’s water and energy sectors

Dublin, Ireland (June 24) To strengthen its support for Ireland’s water and energy sectors Black & Veatch, a world leader in critical human infrastructure, has opened two new Irish offices.

For nearly 20 years the company has helped manage and develop water and wastewater infrastructure across Ireland; most notably as a leading partner in the Dublin Bay Project to improve wastewater treatment in the Irish capital. In addition to its design-and-build capability the company provides expert professional services for the water and wastewater sector. Black & Veatch has also played a role in Ireland’s burgeoning renewable energy sector, helping tap the country’s extensive wave and tidal resources.

“Around the world Black & Veatch consults, delivers and manages critical human infrastructure in water and energy. Ireland is seeking to maximise the potential of its abundant renewable resources and achieve greater efficiency in its water and wastewater services. By tailoring global best practice and emerging innovative technologies to Ireland’s needs we can help meet these goals,” said Tom O’Reilly Black & Veatch’s Regional Business Manager for Ireland.

“The IMERC Irish Maritime & Energy Resource Cluster’s concentration of tidal and marine energy expertise at Ringaskiddy made Cork an ideal location; while being in the capital makes us close to a whole range of clients and decision makers.”

Tom O’Reilly, Black & Veatch’s Regional Business Manager for Ireland

Like all countries Ireland faces challenges in its transition to a low carbon, sustainable economy.  There is a strong depth of talented professionals across Ireland’s water, energy and research communities working to meet those challenges. The opening of new offices in Ireland means Black & Veatch, working together with such talent, can strive towards its mission of Building a World of Difference®.
